The quarter

Q2 2026

Quarter ended 30 June 2026 · compared with 31 March 2026

279 firms show a software line. 26 of them are specialists or crossovers, holding $24.2B of software in the published sleeves. 46 private firms are on the registry and do not file a 13F. The firm totals are the software sleeve of each filing. The buys and sales below are share changes, not a move in the stock.

The largest addition to a specialist or crossover sleeve was Bamco, from $4.7B to $6.5B. The largest cut was Tiger Global Management, from $1.9B to $932M.

Public holdings are Form 13F filings for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, compared with 31 March 2026. Values are dollars as reported, options excluded. The stock list is software — applications, infrastructure, security, and platforms — not semiconductors or internet platforms, so a tech fund can look lightly weighted if the rest of the book is elsewhere. Tracked filers are software specialists, known crossovers, large generalist sleeves, the biggest passive complexes, and the largest holders of each name. The same shares can appear on more than one filing. The private list is a curated registry of software venture and buyout firms, not a record of rounds. Sleeve totals count every software name on the filing. The position table keeps the largest lines, often twelve, so a holder can be absent from a name while the name still sits in that sleeve. Quarter-over-quarter change is left blank when the prior filing covers less than half as many names. A line whose implied price sits far from the other holders of that stock is marked.
